Support Raspberry Solar Farm. Make a difference.
If approved, Raspberry Solar Farm will greatly support our fight against climate change by saving over 35,419 tonnes of CO2 per annum, and generating enough clean renewable energy to meet the needs of over 23,670 homes.
Plans for Raspberry Solar Farm have now been submitted to Swale Borough Council, and your support could make the difference as to whether they are approved.
Our plans will benefit both the environment, and the local community by:
- Generating enough clean green electricity for over 23,670 homes every year.
- Saving over 35,419 tonnes of CO2 every year compared to generation from fossil fuels – that equates to almost 1.4 million tonnes over its lifetime.
- Improving opportunities for local wildlife and achieving a biodiversity net gain of over 150% – 15x the standard.
- Planting/enhancing over 7km of hedgerow and trees, as well as create over 40 acres of wildflower/wildlife enhancement land.
- Protecting, widening and enhancing the footpaths around the site, in addition to creating 1km of new permissive paths planted with raspberry bushes for residents.
- Installing beehives, over 40 bird/bat boxes, log piles, reptile hibernacula, and insect hotels around the site.
- Creating an outdoor classroom and community orchard for the local school/community groups to use.
